TNT Voice Executer by Audified
Review by Lora Dimitrova
The TNT Voice Executor is a speedy solution for vocal and speech editing on the fly. Like most plug-ins by Audified, it does exactly what it says on the tin. Its use is quite straightforward due to its simplified controls and assortment of presets.
Apart from some advanced calibration in the service menu, the three knobs in the centre give you the only adjustable parameters - the input and output levels to the left and right, and the amount of processing used in the middle.
The presets provide various combinations of noise gate, high pass filter, compression, EQ, distortion, stereo image enhancer, delay and limiter. There is a handy list to choose from, whether you’re working with vocals, speech, male or female voice, and you can experiment with the special section if a more unusual type of processing is needed. Once a particular preset is selected from the dropdown menu at the bottom, the corresponding indicators to the right will light up to show what is being applied. The meter below the group of indicators allows you to monitor gain reduction while adjusting input and output levels.
If you’re looking to customise a vocal track to a much higher extent, for example, you would most likely require the use of an array of different plug-ins, which could turn into a lengthy process. However, the TNT Voice Executor is geared towards saving you time, where time is of the essence. At the very least, it can act as a quick fix or a good starting point if you’re tackling a more complicated mix. It’s worth it to get familiar with the available presets in order to quickly get satisfactory results through a few minor adjustments. Most beneficial to voiceover artists, podcasters and vloggers, the TNT Voice Executor is great for use overall in any fast-paced production environment that deals with voice recording and broadcasting.
